A spokesman for the International Family Law Group said yesterday: "Gerry and Kate are very grateful for all the support and generous offers of help that they are receiving.

"Details of how contributions can be made to help get Madeleine back to the safety of her own family will be made available in the next couple of days."

The McCanns were among around ten British people who have been re-interviewed by police in recent days to clarify their statements.

This week some of the witnesses are expected to appear in court behind closed doors to record their evidence before they go back to the UK.

Three British people, who were dressed in beach clothes, were taken in by police for questioning.

They were not arrested and it is not known if they are suspects or witnesses.

Two people with blankets over their heads - described as male suspects by local media - had also been seen leaving a police station.

Gerry and Kate McCann said on Friday they would leave "no stone unturned" in the search for their daughter and stressed that they were remaining "positive and focused".

Madeleine's uncle, John McCann, told the prayer service that Mr and Mrs McCann had sent an email message to those attending the vigil.

They said: "Thanks to everyone for their messages and actions of support.

It comes as British businessman Stephen Winyard offered a £1m reward to anyone who provides information leading to the girl's return.

The owner of a Scottish health spa made the offer through The Times newspaper.

Sky News Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said a number of leads are being investigated.
